Performance Award
The Performance Award is awarded as a pin and/or a medallion to students who have earned “performance points” for various performing opportunities in the community and DEMTA-sponsored events. For example, a student could earn the medallion by performing in 3 DEMTA Recitals or Community Connections and the annual Festival. School talent shows or musicals can count for points as well!
C.L.E.F. Award
The CLEF Award (“Culminating Long-term Excellence at Festival”) is awarded after three , five, and seven Festivals in which a student has earned a high rating of 1-, 1, or 1+ , not necessarily in consecutive years. These students deserve a nice award for all their hard work over the years!
Ava Villyard Scholarship
DEMTA has awarded students thousands of dollars over the years through the Ava Villyard Scholarship fund. Students who are active participants in DEMTA events and are deemed worthy may be elected by their teacher to apply for a scholarship.
